About Me

My professional background spans engineering, actuarial science, and data science, with experience in energy modeling, analytics, forecasting, and financial systems.

I currently work as a Data Scientist within the insurance industry, focusing on analytical problem solving, modeling, and data-driven decision support. Prior to this, I spent several years in actuarial work and engineering-related energy analysis.

Alongside my professional career, I have spent many years providing mathematics instruction and mentoring students through subjects ranging from foundational mathematics to advanced high school coursework. I especially enjoy helping students build confidence through clear explanations, structured thinking, and practical problem solving.

Over time, this work naturally expanded into a broader focus on mathematics instruction, analytical systems, and practical financial stewardship through Stein Stewardship.

My broader interests include budgeting systems, intentional stewardship, gardening, landscaping, and building practical systems that support thoughtful family life. As a husband and father of six, I care deeply about education, discipline, long-term thinking, and meaningful work.
